This course is not about the standards, but if you are a student, teacher, parent or administrator, you might be interested to know that we'll be covering some important ones that, unfortunately, you often don't see represented in the curriculum at school.

  • Content vs. Layout - HTML & CSS
  • Website Design Process - identify purpose and audience of website and then create a plan to complete the website
  • Testing - ensure website has no bugs through functional testing and that it is easy to use through usability testing
  • Search Engines - how do they work and how can you increase your visibility

Through Completion of this Workshop, a Learners Will:

  • Become familiar with how web pages are built
  • Use HTML to display content on a web page
  • Use CSS to change style and layout of content on a web page
